Ja wat dus het effect geeft dat je pup afvalt maar niet minder hard gaat groeien
Nou, dit zal Ian B niet met je eens zijn. Wat highlights uit Grow Your Pups with Bones:
"No matter which excessive diet is chosen, when pups are fed on very rich foods, which are high in energy, and/or protein and/or calcium, we see a rapid growth rate and an overweight pup.
It is quite easy to promote skeletal problems in pups. Over feed them. Take particular care to ensure the food you feed them contains lots of calories. That is, a high level of sugar, protein and most especially fat.
Quite a number of astute breeders have realised the importance of limiting growth rate. Keeping their pups slim and hungry. Many of them are German Shepherd breeders. They grow their pups slowly.
Excessive energy intake during growth is disastrous for growing and developing bones. The problem is, the growth of the skeleton is unable to keep pace with the growth of the dog.
When a pup develops problems of pain and lameness, the simple modifications to this diet are as follows:
Increase the vegetables in the patties
Increase the patties (dus groentes)
Do not add any other food scraps to the patties
If the pup is really hungry: add more vegetables"
